No mercy.
Jeff Stelling isn’t an Aston Villa fan, but we reckon the overwhelming majority of the club’s fans will agree with his season review.
The Birmingham club lost their 21st game of the season on Saturday evening, a 1-0 defeat away to Swansea City, and are now 12 points adrift of safety.
Villa look all but certain to be playing in the Championship next season, as years of regression appears to have caught up with them.
The club’s chairman Steve Hollis revealed earlier this week that the club are conducting a review of their disastrous season, but Sky Sports Soccer Saturday presenter Stelling appears to have already done so.
Stelling took only 18 seconds to review Villa’s season, and gets it largely spot on – we have to politely take issue with his description of Villa manager Remi Garde as being inexperienced in the Premier League, considering he won the title with Arsenal as a player.
Otherwise, it’s difficult to disagree with Jeff.
Aston Villa are set for an end-of-season review.
Jeff Stelling thinks it's pointless. He's done it already… https://t.co/Qdl5kJBj8s— Soccer Saturday (@SoccerSaturday) March 19, 2016
