Jack Byrne’s performances for SC Cambuur this season would suggest that the future is bright for both the Republic of Ireland and Manchester City.
The 19-year-old has been a revelation since joining up with the Eredivisie side last summer and his showings all season have Irish fans salivating at his potential.
One of the biggest games of the season for Cambuur was last Saturday’s evening home tie against league leaders Ajax and Byrne was entrusted in the centre of the park to pull the strings.
And despite succumbing to a 1-0 defeat at the Cambuur Stadion, Byrne gave a terrific account for himself and you can see every pass, dribble and shot at goal in this wondrous highlights package.
