Real Madrid’s Isco was left drenched in his own blood on Tuesday night after a painful clash of heads in his side’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old playmaker was challenging for an aerial ball in the opposition box when powerful defender Serge Aurier made an emphatic clearance with his head.

But as well as making contact with the ball, the Ivorian met Isco’s crown with an almighty thump, breaking skin and splitting flesh….

The impromptu patch up job by the physio (basically sh*tloads of vaseline) did little to congeal the wound and the player had to change his uniform on more than one occasion…

Despite the nasty flesh wound, we reckon Isco experienced more discomfort by being given the runaround by Angel Di Maria…
