WATCH: Fraser Forster refusing to speak to Chris Kamara was one of TV’s cringiest moments

Chris Kamara’s first appearance on Friday Night Football will leave you wondering what the hell you just watched.

It’s a new season and a new format for Sky Sports’ Premier League coverage, but it’s the same old Kammy.

Sky Sports have gone big with their Friday Night Football coverage this campaign, drafting in an all-star team including the likes of Rachel Riley, Jeff Stelling, Jamie Carragher and, of course, the aforementioned Chris Kamara to keep everyone entertained and informed during the weekday clash.

While Countdown star Riley has been receiving a lot of praise for what she brought to the table during Manchester United’s clash against Southampton, the same cannot be said for Kamara, who’s wild and manic presenting style has divided audiences.

The turning point seemed to be when he was given free reign to commentate over the Red Devils’ pre-match warm-up. How was this received, you ask? Well, quite well.

Oh no wait, we’ve been duped. That’s why Twitter, and society in general, really need to embrace some sort of sarcasm font system. People really despised Kamara’s quirky commentary.

I mean they really abhorred it.

Then came a particular highlight. While the Saints were warming up, Fraser Forster tried to sprint for the dressing room, which meant he had to get past Kamara somehow.

At first, it looked like he got away with it, but Kammy managed to rope him in for the shortest of cameos.

He saved it well though, right?

Apparently not.
