Watch: An excellent Divock Origi goal set Liverpool on their way to a win over AC Milan

Robert Redmond

Liverpool beat AC Milan 2-0 in California on Saturday night.

Jurgen Klopp’s side won their International Champions Cup game thanks to two second-half goals from Divock Origi and Roberto Firmino.

Origi opened the scoring at Levi’s Stadium with a very tidy finish. The 21-year-old striker controlled a long pass forward, produced a stepover, cut inside and finished into the far corner.

Firmino made it 2-0 when 14 minutes later, sliding in Sheyi Ojo’s deflected shot.

Next up for Klopp’s side is Roma in St. Louis. Klopp’s side then face Barcelona at Wembley next Saturday, before they begin the Premier League season away to Arsenal the following Sunday.
