His eyes were on the ball
Marc Wilson might want to work on his flexibility a bit more after his leg didn’t quite get upto the height of the ball tonight in Stoke’s FA cup clash with Rochdale and led to him being booked for his troubles
The Ireland international was attempting a clearance in the corner when he connected not with the bright pink ball being used for the match, but the chest of the Rochdale attacker instead.
The player may have made a bit of a meal of it and the contact is minimal but Wilson will have to get down on the yoga mat if he wants to try clearing a ball at chest height in future.
Mark Hughes’ side opened the scoring through a fantastic Bojan goal but he’s been since subbed and replaced by Stephen Ireland.
Ireland got on the scoresheet for Stoke shortly after his introduction

Marc Wilson then managed to do a Yaya Toure on it and hit someone behind the goal from a wayward shot. But at least it wasn’t a little girl this time
The night was rounded off with a goal for Jon Walters who compelted the scoring in the 4-1 win
