We’d have skied it out of the stadium
Wingers traditionally score goals when they dazzle the full-back with trickery and pace and don’t usually trouble goalkeepers with thunderbastard strikes like this.
Well Arjen Robben doesn’t play by those rules and this fantastic strike last night in Bayern Munich’s 2-0 win over Stuttgart was one of the best of his career.
The Netherlands international picked up the ball on the right-hand edge of the box and did a bit of an awkward one-two with Mitchell Weiser before smashing his shot past the hapless Stuttgart goalkeeper Sven Ulreich.
Robben couldn’t even claim the title of the best goal of the night as David Alaba wrapped up the win for Pep Guardiola’s side with this strike.
