Paris Saint-Germain remain hell-bent on finishing a full 30 points ahead of their nearest rivals in Ligue 1.
It seems like about six months since PSG wrapped up the league but, having been knocked out of Europe at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League, they continue to field full-strength teams every week.
Friday night was no exception as the champions hosted Rennes at the Parc des Princes.
After a goalless first half, PSG kicked into gear in the second with Maxwell finding the back of the net in delightful style.
The Brazilian left back found himself just inside the Rennes box when he killed the ball dead, nutmegged a centre-half and hammered a shot in off the upright.
Of course Zlatan Ibrahimovic was going to get on the scoresheet and he did so with one of his trademark kung-fu kicks as he just prodded a cross beyond the weak hand of the Rennes stopper.
Taken by Maxwell’s effort earlier in the half, the powerful striker let rip with a thunderbastard of his own when he walloped the ball against the crossbar and into the back of the net.
And with all the rockets on display, it was only right that PSG show off some Tiki-Taka too which they did when Edinson Cavani finished off a wonderful flowing move with a curling effort in injury time.
Money buys you talent, lads.
