VIDEO: We think that Ajax’s Riechedly Bazoer may just have wanted to punch his opponent

Serious restraint

Darragh Murphy

Riechedly Bazoer has got his anger control down to a tee.

Ajax drew 2-2 away to FC Twente and tempers threatened to boil over when Twente’s Jerson Cabral clashed with Kenny Tete before Bazoer sprinted into the action with fire in his eyes.

The 17-year-old clamped down on his lip with his teeth before biting into his fist in a bid to restrain himself from throwing a right hand straight to Tete’s jaw.

The calming fist-bite worked a treat and Bazoer saw out the 90 without receiving so much as a booking.

Great temper management from a fiery teenager.
