Ow, ow, ow
If you do your ACL for the third time in your career it must be apparent very quickly the extent of the injury you’ve just sustained.
That’s why Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo recognised immediately that he was in huge bother on Wednesday night.
The keeper got injured just six minutes from full-time in the 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid after coming for a cross, and somehow getting his leg caught in Raul Garcia’s shoulder as he crashed down.
He lands awkwardly and as he comes down crumples to the floor recognising immediately that he has done himself a serious injury.
That would be bad enough if it wasn’t for his horrifying reaction as his audible screams of pain are picked up by a mic beside the pitch,

He’s likely to be out for around six months so we can only wish him the best, as the sound of his screams will invade our nightmares for the next month.
