Handball aside, he was a bloody good player.
Arsenal and Barcelona is a game that any right-minded football fan will want to catch on Tuesday night.
Arsene Wenger’s side face the La Liga giants again in the knockout stages of the Champions League, hoping to cause a major upset against the Spanish champions,.
Wenger hasn’t enjoyed much good luck against the Catalans over the years, but one player who binds both teams together is of course Thomas Vermaelen Thierry Henry.
The ex-France international is a god in north London, and he also picked up a Champions League crown when he moved on to the Camp Nou after his Arsenal career came to a close.
So this afternoon in appreciation of the fleet-footed striker, Barcelona tweeted a memorable goal from his time in Spain.
And then Arsenal responded with one of their own, and on it continued for the afternoon in a top quality, if a little odd, trip down memory lane for both clubs.
He was a star for @FCBarcelona and @Arsenal, but here’s @ThierryHenry at his best for us. #AFCvFCB https://t.co/zQy9LYopPy
