He shouldn’t be out for long.
With Borussia Dortmund en route to their home stadium Westfalenstadion to play their Champions League quarter-final tie against AS Monaco yesterday evening three explosive devices detonated by the team bus.
Fortunately, there were no serious injuries as a consequence of the explosions with Marc Bartra being the only player who was hurt in the incident.
The club released a statement yesterday, which read:
“Marc Bartra underwent an operation on Tuesday night after breaking the radial bone in his arm and getting bits of debris lodged in his hand as a result of the bomb attack on the BVB Team Bus.”
And reports coming from German media this morning say that the player should be back sooner rather than later.

A very rough translation of the German blogger’s tweet reads:
“The most important news is that Marc Bartra surgery was successful and will hopefully be back to 100% in a couple of weeks”
And Sebastian Kolsberger, a reporter for german newspaper BILD also said that Bartra is on the road to recovery.
Dazu noch gute Nachrichten! Kein Saison-Aus für @MarcBartra der Spanier ist auf dem Wege der Besserung. #BVBASM
