Not good news for Lukaku.
Manchester United’s starting line-up for the FA Cup final against Chelsea has been revealed earlier than usual.
According to the Manchester Evening News, here is United’s starting eleven.
David De Gea, Antonio Valencia, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Ashley Young, Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Alexis Sanchez.
So, the biggest takeaway is that Romelu Lukaku has failed to sufficiently recover from the ankle injury sustained during the victory over Arsenal three weeks ago.
However, several United fans will be pleased as it offers Rashford the opportunity to impress on the biggest stage following a frustrating campaign for the young forward, who has been pushed down the pecking order since Lukaku’s arrival last summer.
Anthony Martial doesn’t seem to be in line for a start. The Frenchman pulled out of United’s final Premier League game of the season through injury but it has not been confirmed yet whether he has recovered enough to make the bench. It completes a fairly miserable week for Martial, though, having been left out of France’s World Cup squad by Didier Deschamps, fuelling speculation that he will leave United this summer.
Apart from Lukaku, it’s very much the group of players Mourinho has entrusted in the biggest games, with ten out of the eleven starting in the FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham.

Doesn’t sound like Lukaku has made it. Would think that means Rashford starts with Sanchez and Lingard. Jones over Bailly at centre-back.

If *Lukaku* can’t make it – which now seems highly likely, according to those around club – will likely be an attack of Lingard, Rashford, Sanchez.
