Garry Monk has become the fourth Premier League manager to lose his post since the start of the season.
Monk follows Tim Sherwood, Brendan Rodgers and Dick Advocaat in leaving a top-flight club this campaign.
Swansea “reluctantly” parted company with the 36-year-old, who had only replaced Michael Laudrup in 2014, though not everyone is convinced about how difficult a decision it was.

Plenty of Swans fans, as well as supporters of other teams, were sad to see him go.
So sad to see Monk leaving the Swans – a fantastic young manager with a genuine love for the club, shame it had to end like this #ThanksGarry

Monk wasn't just the manager of Swansea, he was an integral part of their history from the bottom division to the PL. Top man too.

There has been plenty of speculation about his replacement, and based on Swansea’s track record you’d imagine they have already identified some potential names.
Garry Monk out, David Moyes in. Unless, somehow, Rodgers agrees to going back.

Feel for Garry Monk, but can understand Swansea's rationale. They've already sounded out Mark Warburton but some doubts on both sides.

With more than half the season left, will this prove to be the right call?
