He might get a chance to add to his two Irish caps
Last week saw Ireland’s contingent of Premier League players decimated after Hull were relegated, which meant that we wouldn’t be seeing Robbie Brady,Paul McShane,David Meyler or Stephen Quinn in the top flight next season with the Tigers.
But at least today West Ham have struck one back for the Irish squad by agreeing a deal to sign goalkeeper Darren Randolph.
The netminder has two international caps, and leaves Birmingham after failing to agree a new contract.
The Irishman was number one this season and made 46 apperances for the Championship side, but is now taking his chances in London to battle it out with with Adrian for a first-team spot at Upton Park.
The news was confirmed by the son of club owner David Sullivan on Twitter
Randolph has signed for #whu. Look at the West Ham website later today for more info.
