Rise above it lads

The temptation to gloat is always strong in the moments after you win.

It’s understandable, especially if you’re a club that was only formed 21 years ago, and are now the newly crowned Scottish Cup Champions.

So Celtic should have expected a bit of heat to come their way this afternoon when Inverness Caledonian Thistle claimed a first ever Scottish Cup title at the expense of Falkirk.

The game ended 2-1 and the champions finished the match with 10 men, after Carl Tremarco was sent off before the winner was scored four minutes from time by James Vincent.

Inverness beat Celtic in the semi final 3-2 after Craig Gordon was sent off for the Hoops.

So with that in mind the champions had a cheeky dig at their Premiership rivals minutes after the full-time whistle

The two clubs do a have a bit of history after a famous 3-1 win over Celtic in the midst of John Barnes disastrous time at Parkhead produced this sensational headline  in 2000.
