Would Luis look good in blue?

We would love to see him back

Surely not. Surely the man who pretty much hates the English media couldn’t be coming back to torment the Premier League’s best and worst defenders again. Well, according to this morning’s Mail On Sunday, it could happen.

Luis Suarez underlined what a massive pain in the neck he is for English sides just last week with his two goals in the Champions league win for Barcelona over Manchester City. Today’s paper suggest that City were so impressed by the Uruguayan that they are lining up an astronomical €120million bid for him.

He hasn’t had quite the amazing goal-scoring season in La Liga his form for Liverpool last year suggested, and now it seems the club may look to move him on, with City about the only side in the world to be able to afford him. Edin Dzeko should be worried.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that if Suarez does end up at the Ethiad then they may be able to help the club by giving one of their current strikers a new home.

Stevan Jovetic has a long four months ahead sitting on the bench before he can escape Manchester, with Wilfried Bony, Sergio Aguero and Dzeko ahead of him in the pecking order, and Anfield may offer him a route back to first-team action.

The 25-year-old was previously linked with a move to Anfield before his switch to City, and according to the Sunday Mirror Liverpool may be looking to snap him up for a bargain price.

Manchester United will have to look elsewhere for defensive cover as their move for Marquinhos looks to be dead in the water.

According to today’s Sunday Express, Laurent Blanc has no desire to part with the 20-year-old despite the overtures from Old Trafford.

Disappointment this morning for a host of Premier League clubs as it looks like Paulo Dybala is heading to Germany rather than England.

According to the Sunday Express, the striker is close to a deal to sign for Borussia Dortmund.

The Palermo man had been previously linked with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal, but is now set to join the struggling German side as they look to revive their fortunes after a nightmare season.

Arsenal have resigned themselves to life after Santi Cazorla as the deal for the Spaniard to join Atletico Madrid is set to be announced shortly.

Arsene Wenger isn’t getting too misty-eyed though, and has identified his replacement as Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim.

According to the Sunday People he’ll cost around €28million
