Transfers: Manchester United prepare world record bid for Bale and Sterling exchange interests Liverpool

Sounds like a bargain to us

Kevin McGillicuddy

The change in climate between Madrid and Manchester might be a shock for him though.

The money amounts change but the story stays the same. It looks like Manchester United will, very definitely, be making a bid for Gareth Bale this summer.

According to this morning’s Telegraph the club are preparing a €120million offer for the Real Madrid man to tempt him back to England. It would be a new world record after Bale’s transfer to Madrid from Tottenham came in at €100million two seasons ago.

The club are looking to bank-roll his purchase with their expected earnings from a return to the Champions League, while the La Liga club will make a profit on the massive fee they paid for the Wales winger two years ago.

Staying with possible swaps between the two clubs and, The Sun reports, this morning, that Madrid are telling David De Gea to make up his mind if he wants a move back to Spain this summer.

The club are understood to be anxious to get any deal sorted early and have told the Spain international that they have another ‘keeper lined up if he fails to make the expected switch.

That could be just an elaborate ruse to put the squeeze on the United number one, with Hugo Lloris also tipped to be a Madrid target

€30million and a top quality striker? Liverpool fans could be looking at that deal this summer if reports this morning are correct.

This is a bit of a complicated one so stick with us. The Daily Mirror is linking Liverpool with a move with Christian Benteke if Raheem Sterling ends up at Manchester City.

The Premier league champions(for the next two days anyway) are lining up a €70million bid for the Liverpool man, which would give Brendan Rodgers plenty of cash for the Aston Villa striker.

Villa boss Tim Sherwood admitted that his side couldn’t refuse a big money bid for the player and that they wouldn’t stop him if he wanted to move.

With Liverpool bagging a lot of cash from any possible Sterling sale, it may allow a bid for Memphis Depay to happen with the winger the club’s number one summer target.

If a deal doesn’t work out for Sterling, City have identified several other strikers to compliment Sergio Aguero up front in a massive squad overhaul.

According to the Daily Express the club are looking at stealing Danny Ings from under Liverpool’s nose while Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne and Southampton’s Jay Rodriguez are also on Manuel Pellegrini’s wishlist.

The club will look to dump Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic to make room in their squad for at least two new frontmen

Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley - Premier League

And Liverpool fans may not be too happy to hear this but it seems that their main goalkeeper target for the summer fancies life in Europe rather than Merseyside.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Petr Cech will definitely leave Chelsea this summer and is eyeing up a move to PSG or if that fails across London to Arsenal.

The goalkeeper has warmed himself on the bench this season at Stamford Bridge behind the impressive Thibaud Courtois and is eyeing up his options as his time at the club he joined in 2004 comes to an end.
