That’s what the the Daily Mirror are saying is Manchester United’s interest in Harry Kane as Louis van Gaal looks to make a late bid for the England man.

According to the paper the club are likely to test Tottenham with a bid close to £40million.

United are short on strikers after the departures of Robin van Persie and Falcao, while Tottenham aren’t in much of a position to be selling their only forward of note – sorry Roberto Soldado.

The report suggests that if Tottenham show any willingness to sell then a deal may be possible.

It’s basically the transfer equivalent of a winky emoji at the end of a text message from your missus.

Speaking of strikers, it seems that despite having lost the two players mentioned above, Old Trafford may be about to wave goodbye to a third frontman.

Javier Hernandez was given a squad number last week by the chiefs at Old Trafford, which indicated that he might be around for the next few months.

But, according to the Daily Star, West Ham are likely to tempt the Mexican striker away from the north-west with a £12million deal.

Have Chelsea got the Stones?

Not yet, but they certainly want John Stones as the club are set to match Everton’s valuation of the defender this week.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Premier League champions will pay the £30million that the Toffees require to let him talk to Jose Mourinho, and will pip Manchester United to his signature.

After seeing his side slump to a 2-0 home loss on the opening day, Arsene Wenger is looking to Germany for his next transfer targets.

The Arsenal boss is understood to be willing to splash some serious cash on two German internationals by the names of Mario Götze and Julian Draxler.

By all accounts they are pretty handy but according to the Telegraph they will cost over £80million.

That doesn’t leave much money for Benzema, now does it?

And Tony Pulis is insisting that if West Brom get their hands on Salomon Rondon then they won’t ship their current striker Saido Berahino out of the club.

The Baggies have been relatively quite on the transfer front so far, but the former Stoke boss is promising fans there will be some new faces at the club before the end of the transfer window.

According to the Daily Mirror, Tottenham have made no secret of their admiration for the young striker and believe a bid of £15million could tempt him to London.
