Enough to make you sick
What would a morning transfer round-up be without Raheem Sterling, and it appears that the breakdown in his relationship with Brendan Rodgers is why he wants out at Anfield.
According to the Daily Mirror it seems that the England winger cannot stand the sight of the Irishman anymore, and that’s why he’s looking to force a move.
He claims that Rodgers has leaked details of private conversations and that’s key in his desire to play elsewhere.
The newspaper also reports that Sterling received over 2,000 abusive texts and 1,200 WhatsApp messages on his phone after his number was posted online on Tuesday
We’re going to call it the Raheem Sterling effect.
It’s the only explanation for why Saido Berahino would be dumping his agent this summer, Aidy Ward, with a number of clubs, including Liverpool, said to be interested in his services.
According to the Daily Mail the West Brom man is worried about being linked with the same agent who is seemingly intent on advising Sterling to p*ss as many fans off as possible before his exit from Anfield.
The move should mean that it will be much easier for any club now to approach the England striker directly, with Tottenham and Everton also rumoured to be interested in taking him away from the Hawthorns.
An agent who is likely to pick up a lovely fee for his services is the man representing Robin van Persie who looks to have organised a lucrative deal to move to Turkey.
According to the Daily Mail the Holland striker is set to move to Fenerbahce before the weekend, where he’ll link up with former team-mate at Old Trafford Nani.
The club are holding out for over €10 million euro, and with everything else agreed it will just come down to how highly the Turkish side value a player with just one year left on his contract.
The move by RvP might at least go some way to paying for new shoelaces for Southampton target Morgan Schneiderlin by the bean-counters at Old Trafford.
Ronald Koeman is demanding almost €35m for the France international which, at least to us, seems just kind of crazy talk.
The player is determined to leave the club and according to the Independent that may force the price down for the 25-year-old.
And this may be a maiden appearance for Bournemouth in our transfer news, as they look to try and make a stab at staying in the Premier League next season with an ambitious purchase.
The club are looking to snap up Saint-Etienne winger Max Gradel, who previously featured for Leeds and Leicester, and would represent a €9 million punt by the Cherries.
If he does sign he’ll be the club’s sixth summer purchase after scoring 17 goals in 31 games in the French Ligue 1 last season.
