A fitting farewell to a legend.
Pavel Srnicek became Newcastle’s adopted son.
The Czech goalkeeper who spent seven years on Tyneside before returning to finish his career there was taken into the hearts of the Geordies and he was no sooner one of their own.
The late former footballer famously donned a t-shirt at St. James’ Park with the text, ‘Pavel is a Geordie.’
He went on and penned an autobiography. The name? Pavel is a Geordie.
So, following the tragic passing of the of the Newcastle hero, the club are remembering him brilliantly.
Ahead of their game with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, the players will wear t-shirts with that famous text and an image of an icon in the north east.
