The SSE Airtricity League has lost another star.
In the past few months, we’ve seen the likes of Chris Forrester and Richie Towell move to England.
And now, St Pat’s midfielder James Chambers has decided to go further afield as he’s revealed that he’s signed with American third tier side Bethlehem Steel.
Chambers, 28, has agreed a move to the Pennsylvania outfit who are a feeder club for MLS side Philadelphia Union.
Chambers developed through the Shelbourne youth set-up before enjoying spells at Shamrock Rovers, Hamilton Academical, Drogheda United and two stints with St. Pat’s.
The midfielder’s departure will be a significant loss for Liam Buckley as Chambers’ stellar performances over the past twelve months earned him a place in the PFA Ireland Team of the Year last season.
Thanks for all the good luck messages. Excited for a fresh challenge! Big thanks @Hogie19_10 & Bespoke Sports Management 4 all the hard work
