Sergio Aguero has ensured that he’ll have the best possible facilities at his disposal when he finally leaves Manchester City.
The 27-year-old striker has made no secret about his plans to relocate to his first ever club when his City contract runs up.
And his fondness for Independiente is clear for all to see with his generous gesture this week.
The Argentine, along with fellow former Independiente player Gabriel Milito, has funded the purchase of a new training ground for the club.
“Independiente fans know I’ll finish my career here,” Aguero said when being shown around the ground on international duty, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.
“Seeing this makes me happy.”
Aguero has insisted that he has no intentions of signing a new contract at the Etihad and his commitment to Independiente has impressed club president Hugo Moyana
Moyano added: “What they [Aguero and Milito] are doing is important for Independiente, priceless and will be remembered forever.
“This really shows the love for the institution – not just what they did on the pitch, but the love that they show the club.
“The fans are not going to forget it.”
