Mane has been generous in helping those less fortunate.

Sadio Mane’s generosity outside of football is well known. A kind-hearted man who wants to help others less fortunate than him, particularly in his home village of Bambali in Senegal.

The Liverpool forward has funded drastic improvements to its infrastructure, spending over £700,000 on new buildings which include a hospital, school, post office and now a petrol station.

On his trip, the 30-year-old also paid a visit to the hospital he paid for, which helps to treat citizens in up to 34 villages in the surrounding area.

In addition to the buildings that have helped to improve the quality of life, Mane has also gone one step further, donating €70 a month to families in the area, as well as €400 donations to the best achieving students at the local secondary school.

Equipment such as laptops, free sportswear and the installation of 4G internet has also been donated in a series of acts of kindness.

Mane was back in his home village last week alongside several other high-profile past and present Senegal internationals such as Papiss Cisse and El-Hadji Diouf to play in a football match at the school he went to as a child.
