The iconic ‘here we go’ has been dropped
Ruben Amorim is set to become the next Manchester United manager, as per a breaking report from highly reputably transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
Yesterday morning, it was announced that Erik ten Hag would leave the club following a lacklustre start to the season.
Currently sitting 14th in the Premier League table and winless in Europe, it was time for an instant change at Old Trafford.
And it is understood that Ineos have moved very quickly in their search for a successor, with a deal for Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim all but confirmed.
Romano addressed his following on X confirming the news in a tweet that has broken the internet:
“Manchester United are set to pay €10m exit clause for Rúben Amorim to become new manager, here we go!
“Sporting confirm formal communication received from MUFC for Amorim to be appointed.
“Amorim has already said yes to Man Utd proposal and project.”
Sporting CP have also allegedly confirmed of United’s intention to pay the 10 million Euro release clause for the manager.
