Take him off the pitch and he's a different man.
Us Irish love Roy Keane, he may well be the best footballer and possibly best sportsperson to represent Ireland in all its glorious history.
Keane made it into the PFA team of the year five times and was also included in the team of the century, he also has just the seven Premier League medals and a Champions League to his name and captain club and country.
Not bad, but he did this with a hard man persona the whole way, Keane never took any messing about from his opposition.

And he certainly didn't like hearing about players
shaving their legs, that's nonsense.

But behind it all, you hear he's a nice guy deep down. According to his autobiography, he was always there to help foreign players settle into Manchester United and sort out tickets for squad members and all that kind of stuff.
So it isn't really a surprise when you hear him do nice stuff, Keane regularly shows his face at different charity events for great causes and people never have a bad word to say about him.
And Keane took time to meet his number one fan, seven-year-old Tómas from Cork who is living with Rhabdomyosarcoma, to make his wish come true.
Along with his parents, Tómas received a VIP tour of the Aviva Stadium and got to meet his hero in the dressing rooms where Keane answered questions about different periods of his career and life as a soccer player and apparently wondered of Tómas was going to be a journalist when he grew up.

It looked like one hell of a day out for Tómas and his family at the Aviva Stadium and the Corkonian even bagged himself a new Ireland jersey with his name on it.
