There’s good and bad news for Manchester United fans.

Further details regarding the arrest of Romelu Lukaku in Los Angeles have emerged because the Everton striker now has to face a US court date on 2 October, as reported by the BBC.

The police were called out six times during a recent house party that involved the Belgian international, and while Lukaku wasn’t taken away to a nearby police station, he was was given a “misdemeanour citation” after officers responded to multiple noise complaints at the Beverly Hills  mansion that he was staying in during his holiday in LA.

The police officers also issued “verbal warnings” to the Belgian striker.

A Beverly Hills police statement said that Lukaku was released at the scene following the incident on 2 July.

As you may know, Lukaku is set to join  Manchester United in a £75m move – subject to personal terms being agreed and a successful medical.

Jose Mourinho’s side are due to play Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Old Trafford on 30 September, before a 10-day international break.
