Since his departure from Manchester United over the summer, Robin van Persie hasn’t always seemed to happy about life at his new club.
Video of the Dutchman looking like he’d rather be anywhere else than with his Fenerbahce teammates during a warm up has recently done the rounds, and a picture also emerged of him choosing not to celebrate one of his team’s goals.
But it now appears that Van Persie could be offered an unlikely escape route from Turkey, with Barcelona said to be monitoring the situation.
A report from El Mundo Deportivo in Spain suggests that the European champions are plotting a January move for the former Manchester United and Arsenal striker, who they see as ideal back up for the likes of Luis Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi.
