England don’t currently have a full time permanent football manager.
Roberto Mancini is a football manager.
He doesn’t currently have a team to manage.
And now he’s turned up at Wembley to watch England play against Malta. Hmmm…

The former Manchester City boss – who won the title in 2012 – is out of work at the moment, having left Internazionale in the summer after a second spell with the club where he won three Serie A titles in the mid 2000s.
He is one of the men in the running to take the England job and the FA invited him to Wembley for today’s game.

Does it mean he is the favourite for the job? Possibly. Possibly not. Top FA blazer Martin Glenn has already talked about how Arsene Wenger would be “perfect” for the job – but he will surely be too pricey.
Gareth Southgate is currently in charge on a temporary basis. The former Under 21s boss took over after Sam Allardyce was forced out of the job following a corruption investigation by the Daily Telegraph.
Mancini is now second favourite with some bookied to get the job at at 6/1, behind Southgate, at 5/4. Watch this space…
