Robbie Keane is surprisingly low down on the list of best selling MLS jerseys this year

No surprise who claimed top spot

Darragh Murphy

He may have won the LA Galaxy’s MVP award for each of the past four seasons but Robbie Keane is seemingly not as popular as club teammates Steven Gerrard and Giovani dos Santos.

The figures of the best selling jerseys in MLS this year have been released and Keane has disappointingly found himself in lowly 14th on the list.

San Jose Earthquakes v Los Angeles Galaxy

Clint Dempsey has unsurprisingly been overtaken at the top by cult hero Andrea Pirlo, whose second season in MLS has seen him rewarded with the most in-demand jersey of the bunch.

The New York City FC midfielder has seen sales of his jersey fly off the shelves since he moved Stateside from Juventus in 2015.

Toronto FC v New York City FC

Figures on MLS jerseys sold on MLSstore.com since the beginning of the year show that the former Italy international tops the list, with Dempsey, club teammate David Villa, Seattle Sounders’ Jordan Morris and Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard rounding out the top five.
