Good move for him.
Richie Towell arrived to Brighton with the world apparently his oyster in January 2016, having helped Dundalk to the cup and league double, as he scored 29 goals along the way.
The 26-year-old midfielder signed for the club in the middle of their promotion winning campaign last season, with hopes that he could earn himself a place on the team, but as it turned out, starting opportunities were few and far between as he only made one league appearance for The Seagulls.
Towell was, inevitably, eager to force a move away from the Amex Stadium this in order to seek some game time, and his efforts were rewarded when he secured an 11th hour move loan move to League One side Rotherham United.
The Inchicore born Towell suffered from a combination of injuries and a lack of form last term, and will be hoping the drop down in the leagues will be the key to reviving his career.

Managed by Paul Warne, Rotherham are hoping to push for promotion back to the second tier this term, although they sit 19th after four games.
Albion manager Chris Hughton said, “Richie wants to play regularly and this is an ideal opportunity for him to do that. It’s a move that benefits all three parties: the player, ourselves and Rotherham.
“Richie is a great professional that always works hard in training, and this will provide him with the opportunity to play regular first-team matches,” continued the manager.
Fans were delighted Towell got his move.
Relieved for Richie Towell that he got something & he's probably better off in L1 where he'll have chance to make his mark than Championship

Richie Towell struggling to get loan move away from Brighton. He is desperate to leave on loan. Barnsley seem to have opted against a move.
