Republic of Ireland will only wear green in one group game at Euro 2016

It’s funny, because neither Italy or Belgium wear green.

The FAI confirmed on Tuesday that Ireland will wear their green ‘home’ jersey for the Sweden game only at next month’s European Championships.

After that June 13th opener in Stade de France, where Martin O’Neill’s men are the designated home team, they will wear their ‘away’ white kit for the subsequent Group E meetings with Belgium, on June 18th in Bordeaux, and Italy in Lille on June 22nd.

Fans can get accustomed to the new white jersey at the Aviva on May 27th when Ireland face the Netherlands in their penultimate pre-Euro 2016 friendly.

It’s funny, because the Netherlands don’t wear green either. And Ireland are at home.

Modern life is rubbish.
