Jose Mourinho is wasting no time whatsoever in getting his transfer wishlist put into action.
Mourinho has only been in charge at Manchester United for a matter of days but he’s already busy putting a squad together for his first season at Old Trafford.
News broke on Friday night that Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic was set to sign for United on a one-year deal before Euro 2016 gets underway.
And while Ibrahimovic may be the big-name signing that will steal all the headlines, it’s a less high-profile acquirement that’s set to be confirmed first.
According to reports in Spain, United have already agreed a deal with La Liga side Villareal for versatile defender Eric Bailly.
AS claims that the Red Devils are set to pay around €40 million for the 22-year-old Ivory Coast international who Mourinho has identified as a key cog in his team for next season.
Bailly, a defender who can play across the back four, signed for Villareal last January and has impressed particularly over the past season and had drawn interest from Spanish champions Barcelona but it’s understood that the negotiations to bring him to Manchester are all but complete.

€40m is a lot for Eric Bailly, but he's very good. CB but can play across the back line. He & Victor Ruiz a superb pair last season. #MUFC

If #United sign Eric Bailly they're getting a powerful quick competitive CB who's raw but stood out 1st game I saw him for Espanyol
