31-years-old and as bloody good as ever.
Ronaldo has scored 47 goals this season for Real Madrid, and the club is finally beginning to see sense.
It had been suggested that with the Portuguese flyer now heading for the end of a glittering career, he may be sold this summer by Los Blancos to make way for some other world superstars in the Madrid squad.
The forward is well known to have fallen out with several of his team-mates at the Bernabeu over the years, and is understood to still harbour jealous feeling over Gareth Bale’s world record transfer to La Liga.
However, reports in Spain today suggest the club, who it is believed had slapped a €60million transfer fee on the player, are now hoping he will stay until retirement.

His current contract runs out in 2018, and El Confidencial is reporting that Florentino Perez is likely to offer him an extended two-year deal to see him reach his 35th birthday in Madrid.
The newspaper is suggesting that Ronaldo would be happy to stay until 2021, and would then retire at the club, but only as Spain’s highest paid player.
Ronaldo has long been linked with a return to Manchester United, while rumours this week suggested PSG were willing to break their own inflated wage bill to acquire him this summer.
Hovever those rumours look to be unfounded if Ronaldo does sign a new contract in Spain.
