It was a dog day afternoon at Melwood
Even man’s best friend is now turning against Mario Balotelli. The Italian striker *cough* has had a woeful campaign on the pitch for Liverpool and it now seems that his domestic life is almost as ruff off it.( Sorry,we couldn’t resist).
According to reports in today’s papers, the two dogs that Balotelli rescued from a care home earlier this year are causing all sorts of mayhem at Liverpool’s training ground and the club are not happy.
The dogs, named Stevie and G, have left more than a few doggie messes on the pristine pitches at Melwood, with an unnamed source describing the day care being provided by the former Manchester City man as falling short of Crufts standard. ‘The dogs are not trained and it’s becoming clear why they were in a home,’ the source told The Sun. ‘The players were in stitches when Mario brought them down. Safe to say the boss wasn’t too impressed—especially when they ran around shitting and pissing.’
The animals are also apparently prone to digging up holes in the garden of Balotelli’s €2.5 million home in Formby, probably so their owner can jump in one next time he skies a shot over the bar.
Balotelli posted a picture when he was picking them up at the start of January:

They may have been cute then but it’s doubtful Brendan Rodgers or Daniel Sturridge find them so cute now.
