Marcus Rashford has taken to social media after Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, gave a scathing response to the media when asked about his ongoing absence from the team.
Amorim's side scraped a narrow 1-0 win over Fulham courtesy of a deflected Lisandro Martinez strike late on.
Though they had the ball in the back of the net a second time, Amad's effort was chalked off for offside following a VAR check.
Despite the result, Fulham were the better side for much of the game but the win was crucial for Amorim and his men as he has yet to go on a winning run since he arrived two months ago.
Rashford fell out of favour with the 40-year-old boss and was dropped for the Manchester Derby last year.
He then confirmed to Henry Winter that he was ready for a new challenge and has not featured for United since.
Following the game yesterday, Amorim was asked why the 27-year-old was not available for selection.
His damning response sent shockwaves through the United fanbase as he implied he'd rather field his 63-year-old goalkeeping coach than his striker.
He said: "It's always the same reason - the training, the way I see a footballer should do in life. It's every day, every detail.
"If things don't change, I will not change. It's the same situation for every player, if you do the maximum and right things we can use every player.
"You can see on the bench we miss a bit of pace on the bench, but I would put [Manchester United goalkeeper coach Jorge] Vital before a player who doesn't give the maximum every day."
Despite not playing since December 12, Rashford has consistently shown support for his Manchester United teammates and his boyhood club, sitting in the stands to cheer them on.
Following Amorim's criticism, Rashford refused to rise to his comments and took to social media to congratulate his teammates as always, simply writing: "Congratulations on the win lads."
Rashford has been linked with Barcelona, AC Milan and Premier League sides such as West Ham, but a move away has yet to materialise.
