Pressure mounts on Louis van Gaal as half time boos ring out around Old Trafford

"We love United"

Conan Doherty

They love the club, but they don’t love its current direction.

It seems that the Theatre of Dreams has quickly turned on Louis van Gaal with a string of underwhelming performances looking to come to a head every bloody weekend.

United found themselves 1-0 down at home to Norwich at half time on Saturday and the reception was not kind.

A Cameron Jerome goal put the Canaries ahead against the once fearsome Manchester outfit and, naturally, the attacking struggles continued at the other end.

And the reception was predictable.

The stadium was careful not to completely turn against their team though. The boos seemed to be aligned with roars of encouragement. We’re all in this together, sort of thing. Give us something to cheer about.

Didn’t seem to work much though. Alexander Tettey went and doubled the visitors’ lead after the break.
