Lucas Leiva was sent-off for throwing a bottle during Liverpool’s pre-season friendly last night – but that’s not even not the best thing that happened at the game.
No, no. The best thing was what some eagle-eyed Liverpool fans spotted in the picture which shows Lucas chucking the offending item during the Reds’ 2-1 defeat to Roma in St Louis in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Look closely at the picture. Notice anything weird? Because one Reddit user reckons there is not one, not two, but three Jurgen Klopps in the image.
You’ve got Baby Klopp, posing as midfield player Lucas, Teenage Klopp: the staffer to the left of Lucas as you look at the picture, and Mature Klopp: the big, toothy man himself.
It’s like Back to the Future Part II when there are two versions of Marty McFly running around 1950s Hill Valley trying to rescue the princess (or whatever it is).
There is clearly only one conclusion to this: as well as being the most charismatic manager since Brian Clough, Jurgen Klopp has cracked time travel. And he’s apparently using his new powers to slowly populate the entire Liverpool staff with differently-aged versions of himself. The canny old dog.
It’s a bold strategy, and not one they’ll be teaching you at Harvard Business School, but then Klopp has always been his own man (and now his own ‘men’).
In the match itself, the various Klopps had to watch on as ex-Premier League men Edin Dzeko and Mohamed Salah scored for Roma, with Liverpool academy product Sheyi Ojo netting for the Reds.
