Jeff Hendrick is not taking it easy on his few weeks away from football.
The Ireland midfielder is set to join up with his Derby County teammates, on their preseason trip to Portugal, at the weekend following a break from the game after Euro 2016. He is currently subject to a reported £6.2m bid from Burnley.
Would this be a good move? https://t.co/EK22yeLse7

Just like Ireland teammate Seamus Coleman, Hendrick does not look like he has gone too far from home.
The 24-year-old paid a visit to the Strength Performance Institute, this morning, and did some weight training with MMA star Paul Redmond.
‘Redser’s’ most recent fights have been in the UFC but, coming off the back of two losses, he was released from the problem. That has not sated his hunger for the fight game.
Solid mornings training hammered this morning at SPI with @KevHendrick nice to have @JeffHendrick92 in training too👌 pic.twitter.com/YSsvEoSw7d

Hendrick responded to Redmond, thanking him for the session. It’s interesting to note that the 24-year-old was sporting an International Rules jersey for his workout.
Hendrick played for St David’s GAA in Artane, growing up, and two of his older brothers were clubmates of Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton.
He played GAA until the age of 15 but ignored the pleas of former Galway star Brian Talty and followed his football dreams. Nice to see him representing the GAA whilst he was doing some MMA training.
