And now the end is near
Liverpool fans have been a bit like us when that really hot girl in our class in first year of college decided we just weren’t the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie of first year Arts anymore.
You know the end is coming but you just don’t want to accept it, until eventually she has to move to a different country to get away from you.
Ahem.
Well it’s kind of like that with the Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who’ll bid farewell to Anfield this weekend in his final home game for the club before a move to LA Galaxy next month.
The midfielder is on the last lap of his farewell tour, and today the Liverpool Echo have produced a 24 page supplement with various interviews to celebrate and remember the former England captain’s career on Merseyside.
The editors at the paper clearly struggled to find the right word to sum up his legacy at the club,so instead went with a fine collage of words from ‘Hero’ to ‘Driven’ to ‘Istanbul’
