Does Aldo know something we don’t?
The draw for the quarter finals of the FA Cup takes place tonight with seven sides already in the hat and one remaining game to be played later. Manchester United and Preston North End complete the fifth round later tonight, but the draw is the quarter final being made shortly before kick-off at Deepdale by Roy Hodgson.
Liverpool along with Arsenal, West Brom, Aston Villa, Bradford, Blackburn and Reading will all be anxiously awaiting the ties for the sixth round, with most sides looking to avoid giant killing Bradford.
However one former Liverpool striker wants to see a seriously tasty clash of Manchester United and the Reds in the last eight.
John Aldridge is hopeful that if Liverpool get a home draw then it’s Louis van Gaal’s side who will be visiting Anfield if they get over Preston tonight. That’s a lot of ifs.
Aldridge made the comments on his Kicca page where he feels that Liverpool look stronger than this time last season.
We’re fairly sure that Liverpool fans would like the easier route possible to the final and a clash with Manchester United, even at Anfield, might not suit everybody.
Manchster United fans are also probably hoping that Aldo hasn’t just out the hex on them making the quarter finals with his bold prediction.
