San Siro witnesses impressive demonstration
Times are tough for one of Italy’s greatest clubs as AC Milan limp their way through another Serie A campaign.
The club are languishing in 10th in the table and to make matters worse one of the club’s heroes has led them to this sorry state.
Filippo Inzaghi was one of the best and most offside strikers of his time from the mid 1990s all the way until the half way mark of the last decade.
He’s a legend at the San Siro, but that legend could be fading fast after suffering an embarrassing 3-1 loss to Genoa last night.
The seven-times European Cup winners look set to miss out on European football for the second season in a row.
During the game the club’s ultras, who occupy the Curva Sud,organised themselves to spell out the word ‘basta’ which in English is ‘enough’.
The message was aimed not just at Inzaghi, but at the shambolic way the club has been run in recent years by owner Silvio Berlusconi.
