Positive news for Liverpool fans hoping to hold on to Philippe Coutinho.
Jürgen Klopp has named Philippe Coutinho in Liverpool’s starting line-up for Saturday evening’s friendly against Hertha Berlin in Germany.
The 25-year-old has been continually linked with a move to Barcelona over the last few weeks, but Reds fans will be cheered to see their star player line out against the Bundesliga outfit.
Not only that, but Coutinho will captain the side in the absences of Jordan Henderson and James Milner.

Seeing Coutinho in the side will appease Reds fans who will know that he would not have travelled with the squad, let alone been picked to start, if a move to the Catalan giants were imminent.
This comes after the Reds reportedly slapped a price tag of £133m on the playmaker’s head.
Coutinho will play in a front three alongside the returning Sadio Mané and Divock Origi, in front of a midfield trio of Emre Can – himself linked recently with a switch to Juventus – Adam Lallana and Georginio Wignaldum.
Simon Mignolet starts in goal ahead of Loris Karius, with Joe Gomez, Joël Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno completing the XI.
