Paul Pogba hints that he’s interested in re-joining Manchester United

Robert Redmond

Paul Pogba has hinted that he’s open to re-joining Manchester United.

The French midfielder attended the ESPYs awards in Los Angeles, and a pair of ESPN presenters attempted to pull a trick the 23-year-old. It was a pretty elaborate way to try coax information from Pogba, who has been linked with a £100m move to United.

Pogba was presented with three jerseys, a Juventus one, a United one and a Real Madrid, and asked what each meant to him. For his current club, Pogba said: “That’s my team, my family, it’s where I am playing.”

When he was asked what Madrid meant to him, Pogba said: “They won the Champions League this year. They are a great club.”

And when he was asked what United meant to him, the 23-year-old replied: “It was my first family.”

The Juventus midfielder was asked what would he say if United manager Jose Mourinho called and asked for him to play for United.

Pogba replied: “I don’t know. Let’s see, let’s see. For the moment, I am here [Juventus] and I am happy here, but I don’t know where I want to go.”
