Paul Pogba drops not-so-subtle hint about where his future may lie

Simon Lloyd

Since leaving Manchester United in 2012, Paul Pogba has carved out quite a reputation for himself.

His performances in the black and white of Juventus have been almost as eye-catching as some of his ridiculous hairstyles and as a result, he’s been linked with moves to every big club under the sun.

France v Russia - International Friendly

There has been plenty of tabloid speculation that Pep Guardiola is eyeing the Frenchman as one of his first major signings when he arrives at Manchester City, but thanks to the intervention of a certain Neymar Jr, it seems Barcelona are his most likely destination if he does decide to leave Turin.

Last week, the Brazilian admitted to being a big fan of Pogba, adding that he thinks that he’d fit right in to life at the Nou Camp.

Neymar’s charm offensive seems to have worked too, with Pogba telling La Gazzetta dello Sport just how grateful he is for such praise.

“It’s nice that a great player like Neymar appreciates me,” he explained.

“Everyone wants to play with the champions, but I’m happy at Juventus and I’m focused on winning the Scudetto.”

For now, it seems the France international isn’t letting another year of transfer speculation distract him from his current goal.

“I want to win Scudetto,” he continues. “Only that is in my head.”
