In case you missed it, Olivier Giroud scored a quite incredible goal against Crystal Palace this afternoon.
The Arsenal striker flicked the ball over his own head and into the goal without even breaking stride to give the Gunners the lead over Sam Allardyce’s Palace side.
Because of kill-joy Premier League rules we can’t actually show you the goal, but this picture of him about to strike the ball shows just how ridiculous a goal it was.
The goal comes just a few days after Henrikh Mkhitaryan also scored an incredible goal for Manchester United against Sunderland:
Inevitably, comparisons have been drawn between the two…
Giroud to Mkhitaryan: "You call that a scorpion kick? Hold my Chardonnay.."

But it’s fair (and unsurprising) to say Arsenal fans reckon Giroud’s effort was better – because it was not offside, as Mkhitaryan’s was shown later to be.
Mkhitaryan was offside while Giroud was not, that's why Giroud's goal is better. 🦂

What mkhitaryan can do, Giroud can as well……..and stay "onside"!

Theres no comparison between Giroud's goal and Mkhitaryan's goal because Giroud wasn't offside…

Even City fans were joining in:

Either way, they were enjoying it

This probably sums it all up though:
Shocked Arsenal fans think Giroud's goal was better whilst United fans think it was Mkhitaryan's. Did not see this coming.
