Mauricio Pochettino’s classy gesture to Claudio Ranieri has gone down incredibly well

What a guy.

Monday night can’t have been easy for Mauricio Pochettino.

With Spurs 2-0 up at half-time against Chelsea, it looked as if they’d keep the title race going for another week.

But goals from Gary Cahill and Eden Hazard got Chelsea back on level pegging, and Tottenham’s hopes of winning the Premier League were shattered – at least for this season.

Despite a fiery game which saw plenty of bust-ups and frank exchanges, Pochettino reacted to defeat in an admirably.

While some people thought his post-match interview could be painful…

The first thing he did when put in front of television cameras after the game was to congratulate Leicester.

“First of all, congrats to Leicester, Claudio Ranieri and their players and staff, they deserve it.”

And it went down very well.

What a gent.
