We all remember that famous episode with Rivaldo at the World Cup all those years ago, don’t we?
The one where a ball is kicked at him, strikes him on the leg and he theatrically flings himself to the floor clutching his face.
Well, during Real Madrid’s game with Wolfsburg on Wednesday, one of Rivaldo’s countrymen seemed to have a similar case of deferred pain.
2-0 down to the German side, Real Madrid’s Marcelo was clearly getting frustrated, and is seen to kick out at Wolfsburg’s Maximilian Arnold.
It’s clearly not enough to break a leg, but it prompted Arnold to retaliate by shoving Marcelo in the chest.
In response to that, the Brazilian hits the deck, holding his face.

It’s all a little embarrassing.
