Manchester United 2022/23 third kit ‘leaked’ online ahead of unveiling

Not sure how popular this kit will be…

Manchester United’s new third kit for the 2022/23 season has been ‘leaked’ online ahead of its possible debut this weekend.

The Red Devils face off against Brentford on Saturday night, hoping to secure their first points of the new season at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Erik ten Hag’s men fell to a 2-1 defeat in United’s Premier League opener on Sunday and will need to improve following an underwhelming performance against the Seagulls.

Pascal Gross scored twice for the home side as Brighton secured their first every victory against United at Old Trafford.

Given that Brentford will be playing in their traditional white and red home shirt for the game at the weekend, United won’t be able to wear either their new home or away kit due to colour clashes.

Instead, it appears that the Red Devils will wear their third kit for the match – despite it not yet being released. Earlier this week, the club’s supposed third kit for the 2022/23 campaign was leaked online by Pro Direct Soccer.

The retailer posted a picture of youngster Hannibal Mejbri wearing the new lime green shirt on social media, alongside a captioning stating that the jersey was now available to buy – despite it not appearing for sale online.

The leaked shirt features a luminous green pattern with darker green detailing and a patterned collar, with the club crest and sponsor logos all in black.

While no official release date has been given for United’s third kit, it would be logical for it to go on sale ahead of a possible debut in the Premier League this weekend.
