Vandal sprays ‘POGBA OUT’ at Manchester United training ground

Jack O'Toole

A vandal has sprayed ‘POGBA OUT’ on a sign at Manchester United’s training ground.

The star midfielder has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer with Real Madrid reportedly expressing an interest in bringing the World Cup winner to the Bernabeu.

The France international was abused following United’s final game of last season against Cardiff, he was racially abused following his penalty miss against Wolves earlier this month while he has now had his name vandalised on a sign at the club’s training ground.

Pogba responded to the racist abuse online in defiant fashion and said that the mistreatment would only motivate him to fight for those that come after him

“My ancestors and my parents suffered for my generation to be free today, to work, to take the bus, to play football. Racist insults are ignorance and can only make me stronger and motivate me to fight for the next generation” he posted in a post on his Twitter account.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was asked whether Pogba would stay earlier this month and bluntly told the press:

“For me, yeah he’s going to stay.”
